SCORE (Smart Control of the Climate Resilience in European Coastal Cities) is a four-year project funded by the European Union, aimed at enhancing climate resilience in coastal cities across Europe. Coordinated by Atlantic Technological University and involving 28 partners from 12 countries, the project tackled challenges such as extreme weather events, coastal erosion, and sea-level rise through a combination of smart technologies and nature-based solutions.

Concluding on 30 June 2025, SCORE delivered several impactful outcomes:

• Co-Creation & Living Labs: A strategy was developed through a network of 10 Coastal City Living Labs (CCLLs) to support rapid, equitable, and sustainable improvements in climate resilience
• Enhanced Data Availability: A suite of tools was created to expand the data resources available to the CCLLs
• Green & Technological Tools: Tools were developed to support the visualisation and analysis of adaptation options for cities

Running from 1 July 2021, the project produced 74 deliverables (both public and confidential), along with a wide range of tools and resources designed to raise awareness and enable smart, real-time monitoring and control of climate resilience.
