CURRENT ACTIONS:
ETC welcomes the Commission’s Short-Term Rentals Initiative. We see this as a key measure to provide a level playing field in tourist accommodation and promote a measured and sustainable tourism ecosystem. We are actively monitoring this file and will continue disseminating information on its progress to our members.

FUTURE ACTIONS: 
Following its adoption, we will work with our members to ensure that they can successfully implement the new regulations and use them to improve the STR and tourist accommodation markets in their country. 

OUTPUT:
Support for members will come in the form of providing informational resources.

TIME:
Support and keep members updated during the 2-year transition period, and help members achieve a smooth implementation when rules come into force in 2026.
