Hitachi Rail Limited released a new study in May 2025 examining the factors that influence people's transport choices while travelling. Conducted by Savanta ComRes, the survey gathered insights from over 11,000 individuals across a diverse range of countries—including the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain—as well as major global cities such as Washington, D.C., Toronto, London, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Dubai.
Aimed at policymakers and industry leaders, the report highlights what people expect from transport services, the conditions under which they would consider switching to more sustainable modes of travel, and the practical steps governments can take to encourage this shift quickly and affordably.
The full report is available to download free of charge in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. For more information, please follow the attached link.
