On 13 November 2024, the Hungarian presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission will host the European Tourism Forum (ETF) 2024 in Budapest, Hungary. This annual event, which often includes an informal meeting of EU tourism ministers, focuses on political objectives related to tourism.

The 23rd ETF will feature discussions on various topics, including tourism trends, the transition from offline analysing methods to AI, emerging AI technologies in tourism and marketing, data-driven sustainability, and initiatives to address staff shortages. Additionally, a Tourism General Directors Meeting will take place on November 12, alongside the ETF.
